After four months, Shaw's warehouse workers have ratified a contract with the supermarket chain.

Striking workers at the Shaw’s supermarket warehouse in Methuen, Mass., are gaining the support of political, community and religious leaders and union members across New England. The 310 workers, members of Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 791, walked out March 7 after Shaw’s management demanded workers take on the full burden of paying increased costs for health care.

Jobs with Justice is calling on Somerville residents to attend a rally at Beacon St Shaw's and the Board of Alderman meeting on June 10.

Completing a 5-day, 60-mile march, striking workers from the Shaw's Distribution Center in Methuen, Mass. and their supporters arrived at the Shaw's supermarket at the Prudential Center for a picket and rally.

More than 50 striking Shaw's workers and supporters marched through Central Square on Thursday during the fifth and final day of the "March for Justice".

Striking workers at the Supervalu-owned Shaw's Distribution Center in Methuen, Mass., have been marching from Methuen to Boston for justice since Sunday, May 23.

Shaw's workers and supporters spent the night at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Medford, “It's important for us to be able to be there for folks,” says Rev. Hank Pierce. “Shaw's made $40 billion this year...to ask workers to kick in an extra $28 per week isn't fair. It really speaks to greed.”
