IBEW Local 103 pitches in to help build Billerica library
Wicked Local
After the holiday lights are extinguished in January patrons will finally be able to find the library in the dark. On Nov. 18 and 19, local residents who belong to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 103 (IBEW) got together and volunteered their time to make the lighting project happen. The materials were purchased by the town through State Aid to Libraries funding. It’s estimated that the town was saved $12,000 through the efforts of the volunteers.
